The objective of this project is to construct a system that gives the operator of a M24 sniper rifle added stability when locating a target. The name of this stabilizing system is called SET, which is short for Stability Enhancing Technology. The United States Armed forces, Police, and civilian hunters will use this device to improve their shooting accuracy. To calibrate the sights on a rifle, ammunition is wasted at the range, and a less efficient firing strategy is experienced. These missed shots can be attributed to an unsteady gun from a variety of sources such as breathing, heartbeat, and nerves. To combat these problems the group has fabricated a device that allows the shooter to stabilize the rifle once the target has been acquired.
